Some connections transcend distance and language barriers, and instantly feel meant to be. The bond between Coven Japan and their French audience is one of them.
It was at the 2024 Up The Hammers Festival that several members of the Phoenix Rising association first had the idea of bringing Coven Japan to Dijon… and that idea became reality during the « Night of the Samurai » on May 24, 2025.
Their appearance at La Vapeur, capped by a special guest performance with Animalize on Samurai of the Universe, left no doubt in our minds: of course Coven Japan belongs on the stage of the Espace Jean Bouhey and on the bill of this 13th edition of Rising Fest.

Their classic heavy metal, driven by the boundless and infectious energy of frontwoman Taka, is guaranteed to set this year’s crowd ablaze.

And when wasabi meets Burgundy mustard, you can be certain things are going to get spicy!
