Demon Tool’s blend of heavy speed metal with a thrash edge inevitably brings to mind bands such as ADX or Killers. It may be a comparison that’s hard to live up to, but the five musicians from the Paris region have plenty of tools in their own toolbox: French-language lyrics tackling contemporary issues, crowd-rousing choruses, a rock-solid bass-and-drums foundation, driving rhythms fueled by infectious riffs, and a lead guitar delivering solos exactly where they need to be.

Anyone who caught the band at Fort Metal Fest will tell you that, despite the weight of some of the subjects they address, these guys never take themselves too seriously. They know how to sweep an audience away into the darkest corners of the human soul… all with a smile on their faces.
